FIRST FORESTGLEN SCOUTS
This is why they say busy as beavers:
The Beavers enjyed a cold and almost snowfree Winter Fun Day and enjoyed such activities as the parachute, landskiis, tug o war and many varied relays using buckets, sleds and snoracers. They all enjoyed a mid morning break with hot chocolate and marshmallows,
followed up by a hot dog lunch.
The Beavers went bowling for St. Patrick's day and some enjoyed the sport for the first time. They all had a "Ball" and enjoyed the scoreboards many pictures and comic descriptions. We enjoyed juice >and cookies as a refresher and look forward to more fun in the months ahead.
Some of the activities still scheduled are: Scoutrees, Swim up, Mississauga Area Beaveree, Sleepover and our year end trip to African Lion Safari.
BEAVERS: ( 5-7 years)
Currently we have two active Beaver Colonies.
A Colony meets every Wednesday night at Bethesda United Church (on Fieldgate just south of Bloor St.) from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
C Colony meets every Monday at St. Martha & Mary Catholic School (on Bough Beeches Blvd. just east of Fieldgate) from 6:45 - 8:00 p.m.
A beaver meeting lasts approximately one hour and usually includes a game and a craft. Our team of leaders is very experienced and both programs are excellent. Beavers use a pond theme and form "river banks" to open a meeting. They go on a few hikes and outings and at the end of the year have a sleep over at the church.
For the Beavers: A Colony is full and can take no more
registrations. C Colony still has 3 openings as of right now but that could change on Monday, as I gave out a few registration forms at the open house on Thursday at Sts. Martha & Mary School.
